How Does The OT4YOU Process Work?

Occupational therapy provides support to people whose health prevents them doing the activities that matter to them. Our Occupational Therapists identify strengths and difficulties you may have in everyday life, such as dressing or getting to the shops, and will help you work out practical solutions. There are six main steps in the OT4YOU process:

STEP 1

Referral

A referral is made through our website or email to start the OT4YOU Process. This can mean you getting in touch, or someone you know reaching out.

STEP 2

Follow-up conversation

We will be in touch with a follow-up conversation in the next few days, to have a chat about your needs.

STEP 3

Assessment and information gathering

We will organise an assessment with you to gain an insight into how we can help. This happens one to two weeks after your initial referral.

STEP 4

Report and recommendations

One to two weeks after your initial assessment and information gathering, a report and recommendations of a treatment plan will be put in place for you.

STEP 5

Follow-up phone call or email

We will be in touch after our report and recommendations to answer any questions you may have.

STEP 6

1-1 interventions

We work with you on your individual journey of occupational therapy, based on our report and recommendations.
